CAI joined hands with its Nigerian partner, AESL, to present our Power Generation product line and related services at the USA Fair 2019: Access Nigeria, May 21-23 in Lagos.
The CAI-AESL booth, located strategically on the Expo floor of the Eko Convention Center, attracted hundreds of visitors over two days drawn by eye-catching displays of our Spirit™ Line of 1 MW – 12 MW gas turbine power generation systems, projects realized in Sub-Saharan Africa and service capabilities.
Nigeria struggles with acute shortage and unreliability of electricity and the benefits of CAI’s modular plug-n-play packages, ideal for distributed, on-site generation elicited great interest from developers of diverse projects and government agencies.
The purpose of this inaugural event was to connect U.S. businesses with Nigerian private companies, government entities and decision makers in an effort to increase US exports to Nigeria and foster a stronger trade relationship between the two countries. It was organized by the Nigeria based U.S. Commercial Service offices.
CAI-AESL team answered numerous questions from Nigerian industrialists and off takers who showed tremendous excitement and appetite for U.S. products and services for their region. CAI-AESL team members on hand at the booth explained the workings and benefits of our power generation systems to visitors, highlighting their suitability as solutions to reduce blackouts and brownouts with reliable, 24/7 clean power.
A focused session on CAI-AESL’s (Powerpoint) presentation of combined capabilities was another visual tool that our team expertly utilized to introduce the companies and benefits of collaboration.
“We would like to thank Combustion Associates, Inc. for being part of our inaugural USA Fair 2019: Access Nigeria event. Indeed, your interest, and that of other US companies, in the Nigerian market was the genesis behind this event,” wrote Brent Omdahl, commercial counselor of US Mission in Lagos, Nigeria in a note to CAI.
“Nigeria continues to be a vibrant market for CAI products and services” stated Kusum Kavia, CAI President.
Over 7,000 attended the exhibition over two days with more than 150 B2B meetings facilitated and over-subscribed Single Company Promotion (SCP) sessions.
The organizers plan to make this an annual event.
