Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Corona, CA | Onsite

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead multidisciplinary team to design and develop engineering solutions for gas turbine power generation and industrial process systems.
  • Ensure design meets all the industry standards including drawing GD&T, materials selection, thermal management, vibration, ventilation and air circulation, lubrication, fuel supply management, manufacturability, and mechanical & electrical acceptance.
  • Fabrication centric design approach that ensures ease of equipment installation and integration.
  • Implementing the growth mindset amongst the team with positive work environment.
  • Develop and design 3D models using SolidWorks for mechanical components and assemblies and create detailed 2D technical drawings, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements.
  • Review manufacturing drawings and assembly drawings to ensure proper fabrication and integration.
  • Perform and facilitate CAE analysis including thermal, fluid flow, foundation, acoustic and structural analysis.
  • Prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM) and other technical documentation as required.
  • Continuously improving design processes and standards for efficiency and quality.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SolidWorks tools and design trends to implement the best practices.
  • Work as a liaison between engineering team, production team, management, project management, sales, and purchasing department.
  • Review and approve all projects specific design documents i.e. calculations, drawings, specifications, equipment, customer requirements, supplier IDMs, and instrument lists.
  • Reporting by writing or presenting regular progress reports for review and status updates.
  • Interfacing customers, suppliers and CAI team members to prepare and implement solution centric roadmaps.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills as this position will interface directly with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders

Skills and Experience Required

  • 6 - 10 years of experience of applied engineering is required for this position.
  • Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks/AutoCAD is a must.
  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM is required.
  • Expert level knowledge in various streams of engineering including Thermal, Acoustical, Structural, and Power Generation
  • Growth mindset and strong problem-solving skills
  • Expert knowledge of supporting software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Experience with Sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing is a must
  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering a plus
  • EIT/PE is preferred.
  • Great mathematical skills and fundamentals in geometry and trigonometry
  • An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles and an awareness of the environmental impact of design ideas
  • Strong ability to communicate with teammates on project blockers, updates on assignments, and overall responsiveness via email and MS Teams

Requirements:

Project Coordinator - Technical - Level 1

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Coordinator – Technical to support the execution of complex engineered equipment and capital projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants exposure to customer-facing project execution in a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities will Include

  • Support the Project Manager in coordinating technical and commercial project activities
  • Serve as a customer-facing communication liaison
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables; escalate risks impacting cost or timeline

CAD Drafter/Designer

Department: Engineering 

Job Summary:

 We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter/Designer to join our Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will create precise CAD drawings based on departmental specifications using SolidWorks & AutoCAD. The selected candidate will be working with the team of an Engineering Manager, Design Engineer/s, or Project Manager/s, and will provide support for Fabrication Drawing Packages, Technical Big Packages, drawing layouts, details, diagrams, P&ID’s, BOM’s, sketches, as well as translating departmental needs into clear and actionable designs/drawings that meet production requirements.  This full-time position is based in Corona, CA

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop detailed 2D drawings, fabrication packages, bid package drawings using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
  • Generate Sequential Assembly instructions, Installation drawings, Foundational drawings, lifting plans, Equipment loading and unloading illustrations by utilizing SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
  • Create system schematics, P&ID’s, single line diagrams, system layouts, material cut lists, using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
  • Generate Assembly level Bill of Materials with sourcing details.
  • Create detailed welding drawing with all welding callout and fabrication details.
  • Develop detailed 2D drawings for Pipe spools for ASME and API applications.
  • Generate detailed instrument lists for fabrication and procurement packages.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the drafting team and overall project objectives.
  • Revise, update and maintain drawings and layouts based on feedback and design changes from engineering team.
  • Support project timelines and communicate progress with team members.
  • Deliver complete and accurate 2D drawing packages in a timely manner.
  • Create complex finished designs from sketches, redlined drawings or from oral engineering presentations.
  • Implement principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y 14.5-2018 (R2024)

 Skills and Experience required:  

  • Associate’s degree or Diploma or Equivalent in Drafting, Engineering or a related field.

Project Manager

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead international energy projects. The Project Manager is a customer interfacing role that works with all internal disciplines at CAI requiring excellent communication skills, detail-oriented and technical knowledge of process and industrial systems.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Excellent communication and organization skills as this position will interface directly with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Understand project deliverables and work with CAI team to deliver project to customer.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from suppliers.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering supplier contracts.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.
  • Review CAI and customer terms and conditions for compliance with Contracting Procedures and Policies.
  • Demonstrates diplomacy, tact, skill and discretion when dealing with others; uses behaviors which are appropriate for the workplace and situations. Continuous Improvement

Nature & Scope:

  • 10-15% travel: US Continent.

  • Experience with manufacturing facilities preferred.
