Key Responsibilities will Include

  • Customer facing key communications role – applicant must be detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Assume assigned project coordination functions.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, and the CAI Project Team to ensure various project tasks are on track and report any deviation that can impact cost or schedule to the project manager.
  • Coordinate the development and internal approval of all project deliverables:  specific design documents and submittals i.e.. calculations, drawings, specifications, equipment, Bill of Materials (BOM), instrument lists, reports, O&M Manuals, and project close-out documentation.
  • Attend and take minutes of weekly project meetings, prepare weekly project report and submit to the PM for review.
  • Maintain and update Project Schedule and Project Budget as required.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills:  written and verbal
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
  • BS Degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Industrial Engineering
  • Proficient office skills (MS Project, Office, Teams, CRM and ERP Systems)
  • Certified PMP is a plus

Project Manager

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager to lead international energy projects. The Project Manager is a customer interfacing role that works with all internal disciplines at CAI requiring excellent communication skills, detail-oriented and technical knowledge of process and industrial systems.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Excellent communication and organization skills as this position will interface directly with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Understand project deliverables and work with CAI team to deliver project to customer.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from suppliers.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering supplier contracts.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.
  • Review CAI and customer terms and conditions for compliance with Contracting Procedures and Policies.
  • Demonstrates diplomacy, tact, skill and discretion when dealing with others; uses behaviors which are appropriate for the workplace and situations. Continuous Improvement
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Attend meetings, take detailed notes, and share with team members

Nature & Scope:

  • Report to the VP of Engineering and Operations
  • 10-15% travel: US Continent.
  • Liaison between Customer and CAI Project Team.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance; MBA preferred. Project management certification desirable but not essential
  • Operations or business execution experience desirable
  • 5+ years of managing industrial projects
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Experience with manufacturing facilities preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Scheduling software, MS Project preferred.
